One is a street / strip model designed for the enthusiast looking for a simple and dependable high-energy distributor. First, lets talk simple. You drop this distributor into the engine and connect two wires (three if you are using a tach). This distributor eliminates much of the wiring found on stock Ford electronic ignition systems. Second, lets talk dependable. The GM style HEI distributor has proven itself as one of the most dependable distributor of all time. Third, lets talk about high-energy. This distributor features a 50,000 volt Flame-Thrower coil that combined with our high performance module delivers twice the energy across the spark gap during a one millisecond burn time compared to a stock HEI distributor. We are also offering a Race Only version of this distributor as well. This distributor features a 7.2 amp rated module and a 50,000 volt rated .35 ohm primary resistant coil. With this hot coil / module set-up this distributor will produce 42 percent more energy in the coil with 46 percent faster spark breakdown time allowing 48 percent more peak current to reach the spark plug. This distributor also features a vacuum lockout and welded mechanical advance to improve timing stability and mechanical reliability.
